The community of Moranbah celebrated two important anniversaries on this year’s May Day weekend – 50 years since the coal mining town was put on the map; and 50 years since the mighty Goonyella Riverside Lodge was formed. The whole community – including retired miners, kids and people who returned for the celebrations – gathered to march and mark the occasion.
