Our 2021 Convention was held from the March 1-3. Covid-19 created some planning challenges, so to ensure maximum participation it took place in ‘hubs’ in Cessnock, Mackay and Perth. Thanks to technology and hard working staff we were able to achieve a well integrated Convention experience across the country.
The first item on the agenda was to ask delegates to endorse applying for a ballot of our whole membership to vote on the future of our Union. After that unanimous endorsement, delegates considered and voted on the policies that will guide our endeavours for the next four years.
Our 300 delegates were keen participants, contributing to all areas of debate and passionate about how to best serve our members.
